PROBLEM
In South Korea, there are innumerous advertising banners in the streets during election campaigns used for the election candidates. The estimated amount of green gas released during the latest election campaign is around 7,312t of carbon dioxide
Insight
Despite the fact that candidates make promises for betterment of the environment, the polyester-based banners used for the campaigns are eventually left as waste and often incinerated without being recycled.
Idea
The ‘wasteful’ plastic from the banners can be recycled and reformed into unique neckties for the election candidates to wear during campaigns.
